[Vintage from Tokyo #21] France ftw

Une belle journée de fin d'hiver en ce samedi 13 mars. 18 joueurs déchaînés pour 5 rondes de folie avec un TOP4 démentiel à la clef, jusqu'ici tout va bien. En cadeau Bonux, un Deathknight de passage sur Tokyo pour le boulot (joke) qui me fait la joie de venir participer au plus gros tournoi T1 de tout le Japon, hop là on immortalise ça pour la forme:



Je décide de jouer mon super deck Charpainter (aussi connu sour le nom de Broken Charpainter) en essayant 2-3 trucs. Les decks controle qui font durer les rondes 50 minutes, c'est pas combo avec l'organisation d'un tournoi tout seul, donc comme d'hab un deck de sortie qui gagne ou qui perd rapidement. La liste:

Je remplace quelques sorts de mana par de la mana fixe (4 terrains et 3 Mox Chrome), vire les Foudres, joue 5 REB, et rentre Wind of Changes à la place de Wheel of Fortune et Jar. C'était vraiment juste pour voir. A priori la carte ne donne pas forcément 7 cartes à l'adversaire, ça me permet de remélanger ma bibal avec Library en jeu, et comme j'ai quasi toutes mes cartes en 4, il m'arrive souvent d'avoir 2 fois le même bout de combo en main. Bon, c'était pas vraiment concluant, pas broken, pas génial, pas nul à chier complètement non plus, mais pas suffisamment fort pour mériter un slot. Pas pris de notes, mais en gros ça donne ça:

1/ Hiromichi (aka Vintage World Champ) @ Dark Tezz
Je le déborde à la 1 alors qu'il pioche pas grand chose et le tue au Belcher. A la 2, il mulligane dans de la merde pour garder Energy Flux qui l'empale tout seul, il piochera jamais son 2ème land, moi oui, je déballe tous mes artos d'un seul coup pour le Painteuriser.

2/ Oath Mirroir Magique
A la 1, il me fait une sortie illégale : Blotus, Trall, Orchard, Mox U, Mox B, Oath, Walk. Il oath dans Witness qui lui redonne Walk, il Oath dans Tyran qui lui donne Mana infinie, Twister pour 7 cartes qui me tuent. Juuuuudge!!!
Je crois que je le tue au Painter à la deux vite fait. La 3 dure un peu, je le tue au tour suivant mais il parvient à jouer Channel puis Mirroir, et s'arrache après 2 activations pour me Torcher.

3/ 5c Stax
Je perds le dé, il me fait 3sphère tour 1, je lui mets un coup de boule et on passe à la 2. Je le tue au Belcher aux 2 suivantes. Vu le MU de merde, j'ai un side en conséquence, je lui casse tout ce qu'il pose, ça aide.

4/ Stanley @ Oath
Il me fait 2 fois un départ tour 1 et 2 Oath Orchard, et REB, ça contre ni l'un ni l'autre. Dommage éliaaane.

5/ MUD
Je perds le dice roll  :|. Il m'étale sa main qui m'empêche de jouer, suivante. La 2, j'étale ma main qui l'empale. La 3, j'ai une bonne main qui devrait tout de même souffrir un peu sur CotV à 0. Je prie, il joue... Metalworker! Je pose tout mon matos, et je Bolt son Metallo. Il pose ensuite une carte par tour, que je gère avec ma dizaine de cartes de side, et au tour 20, je le tue au Belcher.

3-2-0, je finis (encore!!) 8ème. Le deck ressemble un peu dans l'esprit à DTC, avec un peu plus de gestion je pense, et est moins dépendant de Welder. Ca pioche un peu moins, mais ça reste sympathique à jouer.


Pendant ce temps, Deathknight déroule pépère dans les rondes, et malgré un départ en sous-marin finit à 4-1-0. Son match contre Stanley, un américano-taiwannais rencontré au BoM de l'an dernier:

On remarquera sur la photo de gauche un MM avec écrit Tendrils dessus. Un Trygon aussi qui bourre. Un Selkie qui fait piocher au milieu. On passe à la 2?
Photo de droite, ça se voit moins, mais on a un machin de Coriolis, un Selkie, un Tarmo et 2 FoW au cimetière. GG?

Félicitations au vainqueur, la France ftw!!



Camille repart donc avec la Volca à bords noirs que j'ai acheté à Despon il y a 5 ans  :D. Des boosters aussi, et une magnifique boisson composée d'environ 98% de sucre et 2% d'additifs. Omedeto!

Prochain VfT, le 8 mai! Et il parait qu'il revient à cette période en plus... à suivre  :)

Je ferai mon report depuis ma chambre d'hôtel (je suis arrivé à l'étape Hong Kong du World Magic Tour) mais anecdote amusante : ma première partie et ma seule défaite est contre... le deck Eva Green  :o Et jouer Meddling Mage à la 1 après avoir contré un Dark Ritual tour 1, nommer Tendril et voir l'autre enchaîner avec des Tarmo et des Dimir Cutpurse, je me suis senti un peu ridicule :oops: Legacy >> Vintage
