The goal (and the target meta) for the two decklist is not the same.

Commander is very perfect in a meta with no random deck. But in French we love random deck :D

I like the build, it´s very similar to one we had in Spain (check 3rd deck). The maindeck is pretty similar (the differences are maindeck Inkwell, the 4rth confidant, the swamp and the main bouncer spell):

As for the metagamed deck, yes I guess you can spot that given the sideboard choices.

As it is not really focused on beating Ichorid I would like to know: Do you have it on your meta too? Or you just give up the fight? :D

I´m asking this because my experience (losing to Ichorid :DDD) tells me pithing and tormod´s are never enough in spite of playing repeals maindeck which help against CotV set @ 0.

Yes we have ichorid (at least 7 in this tournament) 2 in Top8 and me, 9th.
I don't play this deck againt ichorid, but 2 Jailler  + 2 Tormod's Crypt + 2 Pithing Needle + 2 Engineered Explosives is not easy to beat.

oK, now I have seen the top8. Klu does play with jaylers. Now the side seems pretty good to me versus Ichorid:


2 Tormod's Crypt
2 Pithing Needle
2 Engineered Explosives
2 Yixlid Jailer

What do you think about extirpates? Aren´t they better also against Ichorid? They would also help versus combo if you side in the 3 duress too.

I guess EE are better against a random field too.

Overall, I really like this version of the deck. It seems really solid and balanced. It´s like Almost blue :D

Also, why not Ikwell in the side? I guess you prefer to board Masticore as you can also play it from your hand...and it´s better against aggro in general.
